The band is made up of serving military personnel, a core of dedicated local civilians and some travelling members from around the UK.  Performing at many engagements and competitions, its members also have the opportunity to represent the service as part of the RAF Pipes and Drums at many international events both at home and overseas.  Recently its members have performed at the Basel, Berlin and Edinburgh Tattoos.

Recent achievements include two 5th place finishes in Grade 4A at the 2010 World Pipe Band Championships and the 2011 Scottish Championships.  The band were also crowned 2011 North of Scotland Grade 4A Champion of Champion Band and Drum Corps.

As the band aspires for greater things in 2012, new members are always welcome with membership open to everyone.
