Founded by bandsmen returning from WWII in response to a jibe at the lack of top level Pipe Bands in the North-East from P/M McAllister of Shotts & Dykehead; Bucksburn & District has gone on to international acclaim.
Successfully competing in the top grades of the RSPBA, the band has claimed many major honours, and has had consistent success in the local contests.
The band also takes on engagements at home and abroad, with many tales to tell of trips to foreign climes, and has been invited onto BBC Scotlands Pipeline programme a number of times. We teach youngsters Pipe and Drums in our own Novice band.
