The Bucksburn junior band was set-up by P/M J.K. McDonald in order to ensure the future of the senior band. Over the years, the band has had great success in the Novice / Juvenile and Juvenile grades, winning the coveted World Championships, and twice taking the Champion of Champions prize.
On Monday nights we offer tuition in bagpipes, and snare, tenor and bass drums for beginners aged around 7 - 14 years, from 7.00 - 8.00. Band members are heavily involved in teaching, on the piping side Ian Dallas and Nicole Niven, with Scott Niven and Sophie Gibb taking the drumming classes.
