As a Combined Cadet Force (CCF) Pipe Band we provide music for CCF parades and inspections, including the annual Remembrance Day parade and the formal Biennial Inspection.

We are also called upon to promote the College and play at various venues including Crathes Castle and charity events such as the Marie Curie World Record Pipe Band Gathering event in Edinburgh. The main event of the year is the annual Founders Day parade to St Nicholas Kirk followed by a short display in the College grounds.

The Pipe Band has been in existence since the mid 1940's and provides pupils with the opportunity to learn piping and drumming as an extra-curricular activity.

Tuition is open to both Junior and Senior School pupils and bandsmen are not required to take part in cadet military training unless they wish to do so. Practice takes place after school on Friday 15.30 - 17.00. No band practice takes place during school holidays.
